Hyundai is all set to hike prices of all its models, starting first week of April 2010. The hike may be in the range of Rs 4000- Rs 5000.
Cars, in around 11 cities of India, need to comply to the Bharat Stage IV emission norms, starting April 2010. These increase, planned by Hyundai, are mostly due to the shift in emission standards from BS III to BS IV. The company also says that the entire price hike will not be passed on to the customers.
This will be the second hike in prices this year. The first was in Feb, when all the auto-makers hiked prices owning increased input costs.
Does this mean the other auto-makers will follow suit? We need to wait & watch!
