Maruti Suzuki Eeco – Spec, Price Comparison and Review

India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has launched its new multipurpose vehicle, Eeco in Mumbai. This was rolled out at Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi earlier this month.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a five-door, C segment vehicle, launched with an introductory price of Rs 2.6 lakh–3.03 lakh.
Three variants have been launched : a 5-seater standard model, a 5-seater AC model & a 7 seater variant. It has a 1200 cc engine.
This has been designed for the domestic market & can serve as a family car. It’s a best budget car, and can be used for school & other such transport. Maruti has launched this as an alternative to Omni. It is as per the latest Bharat IV emissions norms required in metro cities.
It is available in six colours :
- Metallic Glistening grey
- Metallic silky silver
- Metallic Midnight Black
- Metallic Blue Blaze
- Bright Red
- Superior White
Maruti has described it as a stylish, comfortable & budget car in its press release :

Maruti had also unvieled Eeco Charge. The electric Eeco will be on taxi duty at the 2010 commonwealth games at New Delhi. Eeco Charge is powered by a 5KW lithium ion battery pack that can drive the MPV a range of 100kms, with a max speed of 100kph.
