Jobs in Indian Railways: 2 lakh posts to be filled thru railway recruitment board exam soon

The world’s largest employer, Indian Railways is going to recruit and this time the recruitment is going to be in mass. Railways is opening its doors for 2 lakh new employees.

After a multi-crore job scam derailed its recruitment process, the railways is now preparing to launch a massive recruitment drive to fill around two lakh vacancies, including around 90,000 safety-related posts.

The exam for the same, Railway recruitment Board exams will resume from Sep 26th onwards. The railway ministry has claimed that all loopholes in the examination system have been plugged by incorporating checks and balances to prevent leak of question papers.
So this time the exam will be free and fair.

The largest public sector employer, reeling under a severe manpower shortage, was embarrassed and forced to postpone a couple of exams after CBI unearthed a recruitment scam and arrested eight persons, including chief of Railway Recruitment Board, Mumbai, for allegedly leaking exam question papers.

The scam was a big blow to railways’ efforts to fill up vital posts, forcing the PSU to halt its drive and take up an audit of the examination system of all RRBs across the country to make the system foolproof.
