After Kochi IPL team share holder details stirred the IPL circle and blew away Lalit Modi and Shashi Tharoor heads, pressure is mounting on other IPL teams to reveal the stake holding patterns.
One such IPL team that got into trouble is Rajasthan Royals – Jaipur IPL Franchise team. It was rumoured that Lalit Modi and his co was holding significant chunk in Rajasthan Royals IPL team. Also, Shashank Manohar – BCCI president questioned Shilpa Shetty’s stake in the IPL team as he claimed that the papers don’t show her name.
Rajasthan Royals IPL team owners cleared such doubts by reveling their stake holders.
1. Suresh Chellaram (Lalit Modi’s brother-in-law ) – Tresco International Ltd – 44%
2. Manoj Badale – Emerging Media (IPL) Ltd – 32.4%
3. Lachlan Murdoch – Blue Water Estate Ltd – 11.7%
4. Raj Kundra – Kuki Investments Ltd – 11.7%
And yeah, Shilpa Shetty is not a stake holder of Rajasthan Royals IPL team.
Soon after the confusions, Shilpa Shetty cleared them by tweeting
“Woke up and heard on tv tht v r not Coowners of RR!Only want to say there is NO DOUBT that RAJ is a stake holder and I am the Brand ambsadr”
and,
“Can’t answer every1 queries(som very wierd)4 the las time.Yes we r stake owners in RR,I am ALSO the brand ambassador.can’t get into details”
In fact, Raj Kundra entered the Rajasthan Royals IPL team in a later stage as as Kuki Investments Ltd by acquiring 11.7% stake in EM Sporting Holdings Limited, the parent company of Jaipur IPL Cricket Pvt Ltd.
So, now we are clear about the share holding pattern in Rajasthan Royals IPL team. Whos next ? Want to know about Preety Zinta’s stake in Kings XI Punjab Team ??
