Vodafone to bring iPhone 3GS in India with attractive offers

Vodafone Essar, the leading GSM Mobile service operator today announced the launch of iPhone 3GS in India beginning with a range of tariff and data plans tailored for iPhone customers.

Post Airtel’s announcement of selling Apple’s iPhone 3GS, Vodafone has revealed its plans to do the same. The country’s country’s second-largest mobile phone operator is all set to start selling these phones today onwards.

Vodafone has come up with three plans costing Rs 100 (prepaid) and Rs. 200, 499 and 699 (postpaid). Customers can avail post paid data plans with existing prepaid one. Vodafone is offering the iphones in Mumbai, M&G, Karnataka, Kolkata, Gujarat, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, UPE, AP, Punjab, Delhi, Orissa circles only. With the 100 Rs prepaid plan the iPhone can be browsed at 5p / 10KB. The browsing rate remains the same for the Rs 200, 499 and 699 plans the only difference being that free data usage of 100, 250 and 600 MB respectively is provided. This as per Vodafone would translate to savings of the order 80% on Rs 200, 499 and 88% on Rs 699 plan.
