BSNL prepaid offer – ‘Choose your mobile number’

State owned Telecom operator BSNL has come up with a novel idea of letting its new prepaid subscribers to choose their mobile numbers. BSNL’s “Choose your mobile number” scheme is right now available only in its Andhra Pradesh telecom circle.

Under this offer, new BSNL prepaid mobile subscribers (2G / 3G) can select any prepaid mobile numbers of their choice from the list of one lakh numbers. After selecting and reservation the mobile number, customer will get 7 digit PIN number via SMS. Customer needs to visits the nearest BSNL CSC or Franchise with required documents and PIN with reserved mobile number to get the prepaid connection as per his/her choice.

BSNL offer - 'Choose your mobile number'

The reserved or selected mobile number from on-line portal will be valid for the next 48 hrs and before which the number has to be claimed with sufficient documents. A maximum of two numbers can be reserved by a subscriber this way, he said. The fancy numbers thus requested by customers are absolutely ‘free of cost’ and they would have to only pay plan charges.

People crazy about having fancy numbers or lucky numbers would want to choose their mobile numbers of their choice and this new BSNL offer is very much useful for those people. And in a country like India and a state like Andhra, there should be no scarcity for people wanting their own numbers and BSNL should see good turnaround with this offer.
