BMW used cars in India

BMW India is planning to set up its premium service of used-cars in India. This is good news for people who want have this priced posession, but at a lower price. This is also good news to people who already own this brand car, and want to sell it (probably to upgrade to a newer BMW). Known as BMW Premium Selection Programme (BPS), this service makes sure to guarantee the brands’ standard even in used-cars.

If a BMW owner wants to put up his/her car for sale through this programme, here are some important points:

* The used car must have a approved & documented vehicle history

* It should pass a 72-technical point inspection conducted by BMW-trained technicians.

* It should be less than 5 years old or less than 100,000km of mileage.

Some things that you need to check before your car appears for the 72-point inspection:

visible signs of accident damage, defects, tyre for minimum 3mm tread across entire width including spare wheel, brake system, shock absorbers, battery and electrical systems, mirrors, windows sunroof, central locking and interior lights, seat belts, fluid levels, clutch, brakes and transmission, wiper blade and washing system.

The inspection also includes a test drive for performance and noise.

If your car fulfills these requirements, BMW will refurbish the car before putting it on sale.

The first showroom for pre-owned cars will open up in Chennai on April 1st. The next one is planned for third quarter in Gurgoan. So gear up all current owners of BMW & future owners, as you have a reason to smile.
