Facebook to start India Operations in Hyderabad - to recruit 500+ engineers

Just few months back, Zynga (maker of games FarmVille, Mafia Wars) – a social gaming company running on Facebook platform setup its operations in Bangalore. By the way, Hyderabad office would be Facebook’s first office in the Asia region. It is learnt that in India region alone, Facebook has over 7 million active users. Its competitor social networking site, Orkut (from Google) is dying in the country. From the traffic data, its very evident, netizens are migrating from Orkut to Facebook.

Facebook work culture is no way inferior to that of Google’s and is one of the best in the US. It is expected, the company gets the same the enjoyable work culture (and with fat payouts) in its India operations also and get into the list of “dream companies” for the tech engineers in the country.
