Google India music service – to combat piracy – Guruji Music Vs Google Music ??
Well, its official now .. Google Music service in India is live – enabling live streaming of Hindi film songs online. According to the search engine giant, movies and music related searches have been dominating the search queries originating from India, and Google thinks its a big market yet to be tapped. So, Google might soon provide you an online player kind to play the searched songs right from the browser.

Sounding familiar ? Yep, Google is just copying what Guruji had discovered a long time back to drive traffic to its website. The indian search engine – Guruji do acknowledges the very fact that entertainment related contents top the search queries in the country by having a separate Guruji music page on its search engine portal. But, with the mighty competitor Google on the field now, Guruji can no more be the so called “Number 1 in Music Seatch in India“. What say ?

It is said, Google’s online music service in India would enable users to search for legal music streams and downloads and thereby combating against the piracy. The company has partnered with three Indian digital music providers, who hold rights to hundreds of thousands of Indian tracks — ranging from Bollywood hits to Indian classical music — Saregama, Saavn and Network18′s In.com. Well, I think , in the name of stopping piracy, Google has just found an yet another cash cow in the country.
