IT Companies are now strict with their notice period

In an industry which is facing one of the worst attrition ever, companies have started thinking of ways to prevent the attrition from affecting the business. Of late, companies have started asking employees to serve their full notice period before leaving the company.

Notice period for employees generally refers to the amount of time specified in terms and conditions of employment that an employee must work between resigning from a firm and joining another.

Notice period can vary from one month to three months based on the company and the level of one’s job. While one month looks easy, it would be tough for the employees with three month notice period to search and get a job since very hardly the new firm which he/she is going to will be ready to wait for three months. These measures are making it tougher for employees to change jobs.

But with more and more companies adopting this, soon all companies will be ready to wait for a period of three months for a deserving candidate.
