Volkswagen to launch Vento in India

Volkswagen is to all set to launch its new sedan model, Volkswagen Vento in India, in autumn this year. The car will be built at Chakan plant, Pune. After the successful launch of Polo, this will be the brand’s second volumn launch. It will be positioned as a premium entry level sedan in the country.

Some of the features of Vento are:

* Better suspensions for Indian driving conditions

* larger space inside including more leg room and convenient rear seats

* enhanced air-conditioning system to combat Indian heat

* stronger horn

* ABS and air-bags.

Engine: The Vento will be available both in diesel and petrol variants, powered with 1.6L engine. It will be available in both manual and automatic transmissions.

Variants:Vento, Vento AT, Vento Diesel and Vento Diesel AT.

Colors: Deep Black, Silver, Candy White, Flash Red and Glacier Blue.

Price: There are anticipations that the car will be priced between Rs.7 lakhs to Rs.9 lakh, however it has not been announced by the company yet.

The new Vento mainly provide competition to Honda City. Other cars to face competition are Hynudai Verna, Swift Dzire and Fiat Linea.
