It jobs are calling. This is applicable for those 2009 pass out graduates who have got offers from IT majors in India. Initially due to the recession, the buzz was that they will be called only in 2011. But encouraging recovery signs in the economy and improved profits for almost all the companies has set an optimistic mood across the industry.
According to the estimates from Nasscom, IT industry will absorb 80,000 fresh graduates among those who will pass out in June 2009. Another noteworthy point is that Nasscom has urged member companies to recruit those who’ve completed their eighth semester to ensure that hiring is closer to the need of companies. So the hiring for 2010 pass out batch is yet to begin.

This will benefit companies in two ways, one they can understand the needs as they are actually recruiting very close to the actual joining date and two, they can gauge the students well, as they would have completed almost entire studies.
In addition, the picture looks optimistic with further increase in the exports IT industry does from India drawing in more income and generating more jobs. Let’s hope 2010 is remembered as a recovery year.
