TCS, India’s largest software company and one of the Top 20 IT companies in the World has been hacked after hackers changed its domain name using DNS redirect loopholes. This has happened many times to many big companies including Twitter last year.

If you did type www.tcs.com, you could have seen a message ‘For Sale’ both in English and French. The hack is believed to be a DNS hijack and apart from putting the Sales messages, url details about them, they put an email id too. So funny!

Hack experts were saying this has achieved using the difference of the IPs between OpenDNS and Google Public DNS for tcs.com and www.tcs.com. Many tweeples were tweeting about this differences. Want to learn more about Google DNS, read here

If TCS couldn’t create a hack-proof website, how can they create fool-proof applications for their Million$ clients :)

Definitely, this could have brought attention to all its fortune-500 customers! TCS has to come up with some message and to release some press news on how this happened, what steps have been corrected, etc.,

Post your views on this hack & stay tuned for more updates!
