BlackBerry Playbook 50% discounted tablets sold out – RIM extends the offer
The country is moving towards Smartphones and Tablets era. Mobile consumers are fast upgrading their primitive mobile phones to high end smartphones. Though tablets are yet to see their days, various device manufacturers and telecom providers are trying to woo the consumers with attractive festive time offers and they seem to pay off.
Blackberry maker Research In Motion (RIM) announced promotional offer on its BlackBerry Playbook tablet for this year end by slashing RIM Tablet prices by around 50%. The Playbook tablet has a 7-inch LCD multitouch screen with 1024 x 60o resolution. Powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, the device sports a 3 megapixel front facing and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera.
The tablet is Wi-Fi enabled and has 1 GB RAM. The BlackBerry PlayBook users can access the Internet through WiFi Hotspot connectivity as well as go online via their BlacKberry Smartphone by using a “BlackBerry Bridge” application and enabling bluetooth for data connectivity without any extra cost for data usage.
16GB RIM Tablets which were priced at Rs. 27,990/- is now slashed to Rs. 13,200/-. Similarly 32GB RIM Tablets are slashed from Rs. 32,990/- to Rs. 15,700/-, and 64GM RIM Tablets are slashed from Rs. 37,990/- to Rs. 23,990/-. Seems 50% discounted BlackBerry Playbooks are selling like hot cakes in India.
RIM has cleared out its discounted tablets sooner than expected and it wants to ride on this wave a litter longer. Yes, RIM has extended the offer for one more week. Are you planning to buy one ?
