By Manoj Govindassamy at 11 August, 2011, 8:56 am
Indian Post Offices are all set to take a new avatar. In the age of internet and mobile communications, postal mails are rarely used .. In my views, if postal bank vision is well executed, this would be one of the best achievements of this government. If SBI could offer a savings account for Rs. 1000/-, postal banks could do it in Rs. 10/- and is a perfect boon for rural people (70% of India). What mobile communications did to the rural growth is going to repeat with these kind of banking services too. We can call ourselves a developed country if and only if latest technology and modern services reach all common people. And, I am seeing it already happening. Way to go!..
