TATA DoCoMo unveils Unlimited GPRS Plan

TATA DoCoMo has been in news for past few weeks for the “Pay per Second” prepaid mobile plan it launched recently. Together, TATA DoCoMo and TATA Indicom have been busy in launching user friendly mobile plans for quite sometime now. Here comes yet another big bonaza offer from TATA DoCoMo – Unlimited GPRS Plan.

Well, there has been some rumors about this plan, but nobody broke out the news officially. Today, I got a mail from social@tatadocomomarketing.com which detailed about the new GPRS offer from TATA DoCoMo. Woww… TATA DoCoMo marketing team mailing me about the new plan ! I don’t know if the mail is from official Tata DoCoMo Marketing team, but I believe so. Here is the full mail :

We can now announce that the long wait has finally ended. That’s right, TATA DOCOMO has launched another innovative offer in the country, Unlimited GPRS plans. Through the Unlimited GPRS plans, we aim to introduce GPRS plans at prices never seen before in the Indian telecom market. Unlimited GPRS plans will be introduced in two packages.

The first package will be the ‘Rs. 15 GPRS Pack’. This is a pre paid pack wherein a customer can recharge with Rs.15, and thereafter the customer will be allowed to access unlimited data for next 3 days by selecting Docomo internet APN on their handsets. The second package will be the ‘Rs. 95 GPRS Pack’. In this pack, the customer can recharge with Rs. 95, and thereafter the customer will be allowed to access unlimited data for the next 30 days. These packages will be applicable to TATA DOCOMO home and roaming network only.

Did you guys note the last line. Seems the marketing team at TATA DoCoMo is thinking out of box. They are truly thinking next age and are considering blogosphere a serious medium for their marketing in India. Seems, these guys are active in twitter (@Tatadocomo) space also and staying close to users.

A fairly new player like TATA DoCoMo in the Indian Telecom Space is giving tough competition to the big bravos like AirTel and Reliance. Anyway, we mobile users should feel happy as we are the ones benefiting a lot at the end. What do you guys feel ?
