What is the secret behind name ‘Amit’! – Six figure bloggers in Indian Blogosphere – labnol.org,amitbhawani.com

I never thought blogging brings you so much money until I read this post by Amit Bhawani, a six figure blogger from India. I have been reading another blog for long time and who is well know to Indian blogosphere, yes its Amit Agarwal, founder of labnol.org.

Not sure about the secret behind the name Amit! :) But these 2 Amits are one of the six figure bloggers in India. Long time back I read about Amit Agarwal, who started labnol.blogspot.com and moved to labnol.org. Amit Agarwal quit his job and started full time blogging. Both Amits almost travelled in the same path, SEO optimization, writing for google searches, traffic through social networks, very good base of email subscription and decent ad networks, CPMs, sponsors!

Similarities among Amit Agarwal & Amit Bhawani:

  • They always emphasize on quality content for bloggers which helped them to reach their heights!
  • They both write a lot about Tech stuff! Not geeky though, very simple tweaks, findings, useful tips!
  • Converting the site visitors to readers. Huge email subscription base! it works!

Amit Bhawani announced publicly that he was making 100,000+ US$ in the year 2009 through online blogging. If Amit Bhawani is making 100k$+, I couldn’t imagine how much Amit Agarwal will be making with more than 5 times unique visitors. Now these people are running SEO companies, consult for companies on Internet marketing, blogging, etc.,

Blogging will be a lucrative profession going forward and as you all see thousands of blogs getting created every day with the motto of making money online. According to Comscore, more than 400million people read blogs globally. Last but not the least, the most over-hyped blog techcrunch.com has 4,661k email subscribers :)

    Please check the details before awarding the “Six Figure Blogger” to someone. Are you seriously sure that Amit Bhawani is a 6 figure blogger? 99% experienced bloggers won’t agree to this.
