Many residents of this place say that Bangalore has undergone drastic climatic change in the recent years and its no more the same old ooty weather in Bangalore…. So, Auto rickshaw flying on the streets have quadrupled in numbers in recent years.To assess the impact caused by nearly 1,00,000 auto rickshaws, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) monitored the atmospheric quality, at two areas in the City — Railway Station and S G Halli, on the day of auto strike and the day before the strike.The Central Bus Stand – Majestic area has the most dense auto traffic, at anytime of day, due to the presence of the railway station and KSRTC bus stand…. This area has reported a steep reduction in oxides of Nitrogen, upto 58.8%, on the strike day…. .. according to KSPCB. Lets do strike on monthly basis in all metros and bring down the air pollution significantly and help reduce in global warming.
