Tata Indicom slashes STD calls to 30 paisa/min – Who dares to take on this pricing war ?

CDMA arm of Tata Teleservices, Tata Indicom has unveiled an aggressive pricing scheme for its prepaid customers, by which STD calls are billed at 30 paisa per minute across all network for 600 minutes in a month. With an aim to popularize STD calling among its subscribers, Tata Indicom has priced the STD calls at way lesser compared to the market price from other telecom operators and even lesser than local call tariffs of some operators…

The GSM unit of Tata Teleservices has come up with an aggressive prepaid vouchers for Gulf countries like United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Yemen, Kuwait, Saudi by which each calls are charged on highly acclaimed pay per second basis at 12 paisa per second. … Its worth to mention, the company is taking up the customer service to the next level in the country by introducing “Live chat” features whereby customers can directly chat with the service folks and get queries resolved in no time..
