China, Korea Mobile Handsets ban brings smile to Indian Local Handset makers – Karbonn, Lava, Micromax, Movil

After Department of Telecommunications (DoT) making a right decision of banning fake IMEI Chinese and korean mobiles at the right time, Indian Mobile handset makers are seeing good effects…. Their market share was over 95% collectively and chinese handsets… But, the country’s local handset makers like Karbonn, Lava, Micromax and Movil have a reason to smile now…. Department of Telecommunications (DoT) brought in a new rule few months back, of banning all mobiles handsets that do not carry the legitimate International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number.
